5. What strategies and methods are applied to catch attention and stimulate participation in the interaction?

Seeing other people do it is the foremost attractant. Because from afar the casual passer-by hears some music but also sees people intently involved in gettingwet or trying to avoid getting wet by placing themselves in the piece, it offers a possibility for public transgression within accepted boundaries: the piece is there established by some authority, people are enjoying it, no one is there telling people what to do or what to expect (like Disneyland). So people can just jump in right away or maybe wait until everyone else has left if they are shy.

6. Are there intended limits for the interaction possibilities and contributions?

There are a variety of kinds of behavior I have noticed from people that were not my original intention, but are engaging and apparently fun. One is bending up and down by the knees to raise and lower the pitch by doppler shiting the frequency. Other things are water play, mostly children splashing each other or tricking their parents into getting wet.
